Started training in the martial arts in 1970.
Became a student of GrandMaster Lanada in early 1978. Received 1st degree black belt in late 1979 during the inauguration of the International Kuntaw Federation. Became the Secretary of the IKF at this time. Learned all forms up through Agila from GrandMaster Lanada. Arranged all forms in systematic style and these are used as the basis for forms study and were published in GrandMaster Lanada's book.
Married GrandMaster Lanada's daughter Maria Cristina in 1991. We have 3 children, Christopher, Catherine, and Carl. Became the President of the IKF in 1998. With the reorganization of the IKF in 2005, became 6th Degree Red, White, and Blue belt and became the Executive Director and the GrandMaster became the Chief Executive Director.
